| Warranty | Renewal by Andersen 20/2/10 Limited Warranty (transferable): 20 years on factory-installed glass and 20 years on Fibrex material components (frame, sash and exterior grilles) against manufacturing/materials/workmanship defects; 10 years on components other than glass (non-electric operators, locks, lifts, balance systems, hinges, handles, insect screens, weatherstripping, sash and frame members); 2 years on installation workmanship. Special-order glazings, art glass, insulated art glass and impact-resistant glass and non-factory-installed glass are excluded from the glass term. Coverage details, labor terms and exclusions are set out in Renewal by Andersen's current written warranty — request the current document before purchase |
| Positioning | The full-service replacement-window division of Andersen Corporation, founded in 1995. Positioned as a premium in-home-consultation replacement offering with proprietary Fibrex composite, professional custom-fit installation and a 20/2/10 warranty combining product and installation coverage. Unlike Andersen's 100/200/400/A/E dealer-supplied series, Renewal by Andersen sells directly to homeowners through a network of company-owned and franchised locations |
| Price position | Premium (installed price, full-service replacement) |
| Installation | Replacement only; sold and installed by Renewal by Andersen certified installers, not through independent dealers |
Notes
Fibrex composite (proprietary Andersen material also used on Andersen 100 Series). Renewal by Andersen is Andersen's DIRECT-TO-CONSUMER replacement channel — different sales and pricing structure from Andersen's 100/200/400/A/E series (which are dealer-supplied and made-to-order). The 20/2/10 warranty is TRANSFERABLE. Installation warranty of 2 years is materially shorter than most manufacturers' clad-wood or fiberglass exterior terms — an important distinction to note when comparing. Performance data is style- and glazing-specific — check the NFRC label
