Main difference: on construction they are closely matched, foam-filled cavities against a 16-chamber profile. The practical separator is documentation and distribution: ProVia publishes its warranty terms and sells only through dealers, while Simonton’s component terms are not published on the product pages we checked. Two premium vinyl lines that rarely appear in the same quote pile, because they reach homeowners through different channels. On construction they are closely matched. On documentation they are not, and that is the most useful difference for a buyer.

Construction
ProVia Endure uses SunShield vinyl in a fusion-welded frame and sash, with Neopor graphite insulation in certain extrusion cavities of both frame and sash. Every unit is custom built to the opening.
Simonton 6500 uses fusion-welded one-piece frame and sash construction with Simonton’s thickest vinyl sash, 16 chambers across frame, sill and sash, triple-fin weather stripping and a 10-degree triple-stepped sloped sill for drainage. It is also custom built to size.
Both are doing the same job by different means: stiffen the frame, break up the air path, get water out. Foam-filled cavities against a multi-chamber profile is a genuine engineering difference, but neither manufacturer publishes comparable test data that would let anyone rank them.
Glass
Endure uses the ComforTech glazing system with a Super Spacer edge across the whole line, with privacy, tinted and laminated options. The 6500 double-hung uses a 7/8 inch insulating unit with double-strength ProSolar Low-E glass, argon and the Supercept spacer, with acoustic, security, privacy and fade-protection upgrades.
Simonton offers region-specific glass packages built to ENERGY STAR guidelines, and select triple-pane units in the 5500 and 6500 double-hung lines earned the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2024 designation. ProVia offers ENERGY STAR certified configurations and dealers report Most Efficient designations for Endure. Neither publishes a line-wide U-factor range, so the NFRC label on your quote is the only comparable number.

This is not a statement that Simonton’s coverage is worse. It is a statement that, at the time of writing, one company lets you read the terms before you buy and the other does not publish them where a homeowner can find them. For a purchase justified largely on longevity, that difference is worth a direct question to the dealer.
Customization
Endure offers woodgrain laminate interiors, painted exteriors in a wide colour range and a matte black finish reported by dealers. The 6500 offers the Decorum programme of exterior colours, woodgrain interiors and hardware finishes, and a wood-look frame design. Both cover the styles most American homes need, including bay, bow and garden windows, though availability varies by region and dealer.
How you buy them
ProVia sells exclusively through dealers and professional installers, with no retail channel. Simonton sells through independent dealers and contractors, and its 6000 Collection, which includes the 6500 Series, is sold through The Home Depot (Simonton 6000 Collection).
That changes how you shop. With Simonton you can get a retail-programme price as a floor and compare it with a local dealer. Consider ProVia Endure when

- Foam-insulated extrusions and a single glazing system across the line appeal to you
- You have a strong local ProVia dealer doing the installation
Consider Simonton 6500 when
- You want a second route to price the same product, including the Home Depot programme
- Region-specific ENERGY STAR glass packages matter for your climate
- You want the wood-look frame design and the Decorum customization range
- A dealer will hand you the written warranty document, closing the gap above
Consider something else when

What we could not compare
Neither publishes a line-wide U-factor, SHGC or visible transmittance, and neither publishes installed pricing. Simonton does not publish component warranty durations on its product pages. Several ProVia component terms come from dealer material rather than the headline page. We have not tested either window.
